Overview: We are recruiting for a hands-on and driven Engineering Leader to join a well-established food manufacturing business. Reporting into the Operations Manager, this role is responsible for leading site engineering activities, always ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and Food Safety standards.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a multi-skilled engineer with strong leadership capability who thrives on driving continuous improvement, improving equipment reliability, and moving from reactive to proactive maintenance within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

About you…
•    Multi-skilled Engineer with an electrical bias.
•    Mechanical qualification or strong mechanical competency.
•    Experience within Food Manufacturing nice to have but not essential.
•    As Engineering Lead, you will have strong knowledge of Health & Safety and Food Safety standards.
•    Proven leadership skills with the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships.
•    Experience implementing preventative maintenance and asset care strategies.
•    Proactive, solutions-focused and experienced in root cause analysis and continuous improvement techniques.

What will you be doing?
•    Leading and co-ordinating all site-based engineering activities in line with site, H&S and Food Safety standards.
•    Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and legislative requirements.
•    Supporting the site in delivering operational targets and improving overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
•    Driving the transition from reactive to proactive maintenance through robust and reliability centred maintenance strategies.
•    Maintaining and optimising manufacturing equipment and machinery performance.
•    Identifying root causes of equipment and process failures and implementing sustainable corrective actions.
•    As Engineering Leader, you will be supporting the design and installation of new process lines aligned to business growth.
•    Building strong collaboration across Production, Technical, Warehouse and H&S teams.
